At SteadFin, we are committed to transforming lives through innovative, quality, and flexible financial solutions. Guided by our motto, “Many Lives, Many Futures,” we empower members with the financial support, knowledge, and opportunities they need to grow and thrive.Established in October 2017, SteadFin is a registered Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO) operating under the Uganda Co-operative Societies Act of 1991, the Cooperative Societies Act, Cap 107 and our governing bylaws.
Since inception, we have grown into a leading member-driven cooperative in Africa, built on trust, integrity, and financial empowerment.

Our membership is diverse and inclusive, comprising: current and former U.S. Embassy and SteadFin staff, individuals engaged in gainful economic activities, member-owned groups and companies, as well as cooperative institutions and other approved legal entities.

Annual General Meeting(AGM)

The General Assembly is the supreme authority of the SACCO.
Duties and Responsibilities of the AGM.

Board Of Directors

The Board is the principal leadership/governance organ of the SACCO and directs the affairs of the SACCO on behalf of its general membership while overseeing the management and making strategic decisions of the SACCO. It is composed of a diverse group of 9 elected members and one co-opted member who have relevant experience and expertise in various fields.

Board Committees

The Board of Directors has four committees, comprised of Board members who are required to attend meetings of the respective committees on which they serve.

Credit Committee

The Credit Committee supports the Board with setting the strategic direction for the SACCO’s lending operations. This committee oversees the lending and credit functions, and loan servicing operations of the SACCO.

Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO)

ALCO serves as a planning unit in terms of resource allocation, and is responsible for aligning the SACCO’s entire portfolio. The Committee reviews the budget as proposed by Management and makes recommendations for the Board’s approval.

Operations, Human Resource and Member Education committee

The Operations, Human Resource and Member Education Committee provides review, guidance, and oversight for SACCO overall operations.

Audit and Risk Management Committee

The audit committee oversees the financial reporting and disclosure process of the SACCO, and is responsible for SteadFin's monitoring operations, choice of accounting policies and principled.
